Kelcey Parker Ervick is the author of three award-winning books: The Bitter Life of Božena Němcová (Rose Metal Press), about her search for a dead Czech fairy tale writer; Liliane's Balcony (Rose Metal Press), in which Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater becomes a haunted house; and For Sale By Owner (Kore Press) a story collection of suburban surrealities.

She is co-editor, with Tom Hart, of the forthcoming Field Guide to Graphic Literature: Artists and Writers on Creating Graphic Narratives, Poetry Comics, and Literary Collage, which Rose Metal Press will publish in 2021. 

As creator of the comics series, "Suffragette City" and "Welcome to South Bend," she is a featured comics artist at The Rumpus. Her stories, essays, and comics have appeared in The Believer, Lit Hub, Colorado Review, Passages North, Quarterly West, Booth, Notre Dame Review, The Common, and elsewhere. She has received grants from the Indiana Arts Commission, the Sustainable Arts Foundation, and New Frontiers in Arts and Humanities at Indiana University. She has a Ph.D. from the University of Cincinnati and teaches creative writing at Indiana University South Bend.

Since 2018, she has been making a painting or comic every day and posting most of them on Instagram. She has also found her way to Twitter.
